Decided to give Glenarm breakwater a bash on Friday but the place was crawling with fishermen quite a few polish, i thought id mention this as I had fished here last year around this time and every fish they caught regardless of size was threw into a plastic bag they had which I think is a disgrace

but to make me even more confused one of them caught a decent sized lobster and then threw it back

the mind boggles, however, so headed over to the beach the weed being washed up due to the wind was frustrating to say the least but none the less we didnt have too bad a night. Nothing of any great note though. So headed up again on sunday to hopefully get on the breakwater and we did and as usual the doggies are always on the feed here, apart from a ball foundering night back in feb I have always caught of the breakwater. I caught a small ballen wrasse after a misguided cast due to the ammount of midges in my ears, eyes, nose and mouth

and ended up 50 yards to the right of where I was aiming. We where getting loads of bites from smaller fish but dare not go lower than a 1/0 hook due to the doggies. Anyhow it was good to get back into it. I know the codling where of no size but I was glad to see them hopefully this is a sign of things picking up.
