Filleting knife recommendation

Mon Aug 06, 2012 9:20 am

My last filleting knife rusted, even though it claimed to be stainless steel, and I do rinse it.
I'm looking for a good one, ideally that could be hung the deck of a kayak or a buoyancy aid, so it must be possible to safety it.

Thanks
Ciaran

errrr, that looks like a direct rip-off of the Martiini! Less than half the price though.

Hi mate do you have that link for the Martiini...

http://www.ultimathule.fi/en/product_details.php?p=187 I got two of these, one for the boat and one for the shore, it's their basic knife but they are excellent. Service was top notch too, had them within a week.

As far as i know, Rapala owns now the Martiini brand but Martiini was very good brand already before.

From my Anti-Virus program BullGuard

"ATTENTION - This site has been blocked

The site is very secure and local leader in fishing tackle market. They ran the business over 10 years. If it was a fraud site, they were not on the market !

BullGuard's integrated firewall is also very chatty, frequently popping up warnings and asking for approval when the benign applications in our false positive tests tried to connect to the internet. This meant that in our false positive tests it warned us about 40 per cent (eight samples) of our harmless applications, which means more annoying pop-ups; however, nothing was actually blocked, so BullGuard didn't seriously disrupt our user experience.

BullGuard isnt the best antivirus program on the market.

Interesting Donal, might be a false positive, nothing suspicious was report from Kaspersky Internet Security 2013.
