3 cods between 35-45cm in Youghal tonight, few whitings and other fish as well.

i fished the front strand in youghal last night..no sign of a cod or a 'ray' either, only doggies,crabs & pin whiteing :cry:

Fished Monkstown for 8hrs yesterday was getting a fish a cast all small :roll:

Fished monkstown again last night 3 of us down there two of the lads got a doggie each and i got a nice whiting no sign of cod, then again i only had 2 pealer crab :(. lots of small whiting tho.

Shouldnt be far away it was from now on last year when they started to make a drive

Fished the wall tonight,still full of pin whiting,had a dog fish then just on the turn I lost a fine fish at the wall in my panic to get him up.You win some you lose some.

Fished the Abbey, Youghal last night up to high tide - not even a nibble!!!!
Cod season Winter 2013/14: 117 cod (best fish: 6.5 lbs)
Cod season Winter 2014/15: 193 cod (best fish: 4.25 lbs)

What size were the Cod seahorse? were you fishing during the day or at night?

also does anyone know the name of the hotel just up the road from The Wall in Monkstown?

If you mean the one directly opposite the Pier its the Bosun.(0)21 - 4842172

Willhands and myself fished ferry point last saturday, from lunch time up to about half 10, weed was a little annoying but fishable, very slow going but as the tide was nearly full and it got dark we hit a few cod, we got 5, but only two of a decent size, 2 and 3lb.

fished youghal last sat night from 6.00pm up till 9.30pm doggies 6, codling 3 up to 25cm, 16 whiting up to 25cm and 1 lovely female thornie . worth the long trip from the big smoke

Fished youghal last night man what a wild night! Very poor I had one about 3lb only bite of the night buddy had two about a half pound each and another guy had a couple of coalies. Don't know if we will get a decent run this year time is pushing on????

2 of us fished ferry point last night from 8 pm till 4 am only 1 rockling to show for the long journey also lots of weed

fished cobh last night from 8-1am, very slow fishing till round 10 couple of dogs showed, then on the last cast we caught 2 cod of 2lb
