yep, its the short-cut, so dont tell anyoneViper wrote:Not this time, took a chance and used my light carp outfit with 6lb line. Has previously landed me 20lb pike so figured it was up to the job. Had intended flyfishing but the wind was a bit too squally for it. I would have followed you down to Clonea (I presume thats where ye all were) only for the fact that I had no bait with me. Next time I'll definitely be more prepared!cortaz wrote: brendan, was it on the lidl stuff?, it was us that u saw, up to your right, we only had 2 lost fish before we moved.....to the above

Lads, that's some powerful fishing over the last couple of weeks, you're making it look like Mackerel fishing!!!! Well done.

There were a few blanks in among those 3 trips though mind you! It's not an easy place to get right, if conditions arenn't perfect it's very easy to find yourself struggling for a bite.cortaz wrote: yep, its the short-cut, so dont tell anyone![]()

, your a lucky bugger
thats 30+ bass in your last 3 visits?
I think I'll try one serious trip down before the year is out, boat and everything to try over those oyster beds at high water!

Like most good marks. If you are lucky enough to live beside one you are laughing. If like most of us you have to plan a trip you are praying for a number of factors to be perfect. Makes it all the more special when they do fall into place.
Still wish I was born in Dingle....!

Re: dungarvan bay august 2008
alright folks some great bass fishing in many places at the moment, great to see some decent fish.
for the benefit of the many readers on the site.. most of the regular anglers here take conservation
very seriously and are much more stringent than the current laws on size and quantity limits require them to be.
anglers dont mind sharing tips and marks with others when they know that they respect this ...
fantastic to take some decent bass, even better to know they are going back to bring sport to others etc.
hopefully the season is a long one ..
