was thinkin the same meself, only take what ye need!!
I know I said I took 100 but was actually me and a mate fishing so between us we took the above amount home yea and after two days fresh mackerel for the family dinner and the brother taking some for himself I am left with about 15 in the freezer which I will use as bait, less business for the commercial fisher and saves me paying €4.50 for a pack of 3 each time I go fishing.
Good for you, I wish I had some in my freezer for a winters season, however I don't. Usually I don't bash for a mackerel, but it is indeed one of the essentials as the bait for any otheer fishing and buying them every time you fish at the winter time could be costly. For exemple in my case I live quite far away from any coastline and have to spent at least €30 for a fuel and if you have to buy macs for €1 each and black lug wrraps €8, so can you guys imagine what costs will come in total?
So I would't blame man who took a 100 macs which been shared between a family and kept some for a bait. I usualy would use 3-5 macs every each session at winter so I would need 50+ for entire season so 100 mcs counts nothing if you eat them too.

Was in Dun Laoghaire yesterday on the west pier. Lost there 7 weights and came home. Am I the only one?
