with a trip up home on the cards I picked up some bouncing betty bombs . Possibly one of the best ways to tempt big river pike to strike. Also picked up some traces and bait additive

Last thing I bought was 2 packs of frozen sandeel, 2 packs frozen squid and 2 bags of rag, I picked up a couple of packs of size 1 and 2 silver kamasan bait holder hooks the same day.
Edit---target was codling, flounder, coley, doggie, wrasse, whatever was interested.
What I really need to buy is a good spinning reel, my shimano Aero baitrunner 5000 GTE has given me 10 years of service and despite a trip to Felindre in Wales for a service about a year ago, I think it just wants to rest in peace. Its bucked. It owes me nothing, great wee reel. Good job Santa is comin soon.

2011 Sea species:- codling, L.S. dogfish, coley, whiting, pollack(4lb 3oz), sea trout, shore conger eel (15lb), ballan wrasse, grey gurnard, plaice, dab (and lobster).
