Sorry for late response Charlie, excellent report and fishing. You nailed it. Great pictures of a memorable trip. The pollack fishing we enjoyed last year is only around the corner again. Have to see if we can better that good evening we had last August at Rockport, you are racking up the species list admirably, that sea trout should be added to it this year? I know youve had them before but you need one this year especially for the count.
2013 Sea Species:- Bass, Flounder, 5 Beard Rockling, Shore Rockling, Whiting, red gurnard, grey gurnard, Pollack, coley, mackerel, sea trout, cant remember cos I didn't update at the time.....

2011 Sea species:- codling, L.S. dogfish, coley, whiting, pollack(4lb 3oz), sea trout, shore conger eel (15lb), ballan wrasse, grey gurnard, plaice, dab (and lobster).

congrats on your first ray 8) , got my first thornie only a couple of weeks ago thanks to donagh and in relation to your round trip we are on a par, had to cover similar distances a few times but it was well worth it IMHO :D

Little did you know youd be ticking sea trout off your species list the following day. Bigger ones to come, whole big summer of fishing ahead of us.
