Good stuff Frank. Myself and Nik were in East Cork last night, although I'd say different location from you and managed a couple of Bass late on after a few sporadic cod and coalies, so you must be hitting the wrong beach. Again, we were very lazy and had only razor. Was a good bit of surf, driven on by a swell as there was no wind and in fact was quite pleasant.

I tried that beach on Wednesday night for a short session, got 3 small bass (largest 45 cm), 7 codling (largest 2 lb) and coalfish.

It was a nice evening to be out - a big contrast to fishing in November and December.

That's probably the most fish I ever caught in one session on that beach, this year is starting off well

Good luck, I think you might need it to get much there in daylight apart from flounder. Watch out for the weed !!!
