jesus al 40 fish in eight hours and two conger!that last one sounded like a hell of a fight well done!

cheers man. i had that rod set up for dogs,,,, it never dawned on me that a conger might fancy a go at the bait but what a scrap 10mins to free him up then a bit of soggy feet rock hopping to get him landed. priceless!!! i'll not forget that one too soon

Some report, and some fishing, you had the midas touch on that session alright Al, especially to land a conger on a spinning rod.
I'm sure I read another recent report of somebody doing the same.....it might be the start of a new angling trend
That last conger had certainly had it tough with all them scrapes.

cheers mark. i remember that report too. i don't know what i would have done if he had of been any bigger it was dodgey enough landing that one on my own on the rocks he must have been well wedged between the rocks before i got him up as you can see the scratches and scrapes he got for his troubles

it's the same every year. he's no sooner back to school and the weather picks up and the fishing gets better besides, he reckons i only did so well cos he was'nt there if he had been there he would have got most of them sour grapes me thinks

thanks man, just as well he was'nt any bigger of he would have snapped the rod. it's a cert to happen soon enough as i always seem to be tempting fate by useing the lightest rods that i can get away with but at least you get a decent fight outta what you catch

at the point rab. i must have looked like a hyperactive meerkat. trying to keep an eye on the swell to my left and the swell to my right think i've gave myself whiplash. sort of un-nerving place to fish on your own

thanks davy. when he was wedged in the rocks he felt like a double figure eel . thank god he was'nt as i think it might have been the end of the rod amazing fish thow,, just the sheer power they display with a simple flex of their muscles slippery wee fish too. must have taken 3 attempts to lift him to get him back in the sea
