The mullet should be handy enough ,I'll maybe try 20lb braid on my 3 1/2 lb pike rod baited up with a size 1/0 hook and belfast bap to see just how the fight compares to other fish 
If someone shows you a mark to fish, respect it and dont pass it of as one of your own, dont tell every man and his dog about it.
