Anecdotal, but..... my brother has mackerel hunting in Fountainstown twice in the last week at the right tide times and all but not a whisper of a fish. You would imagine with warmer weather and all....
Have not had time myself.

None in Tramore Saturday am. Bashers out in force too....but heard of a few there Thusday evening.

I float fished off the rocks at dalkey today, no macks but got a few pollock (which thb is what i was really after but hoped for a mack or 2)

plenty of guys out with feathers, i was the only 1 float fishing and only guy to get a few fish... bad sign for the macks

float fished howth frm 630am-4pm not a thing caught. afew others out early aswell they blanked also

Heard of macks been caught in Mornington, but Im not 100% sure. as I havent been out that direction in years. Anyone fished Skerries?

Lads in Murrays tackle say they seem to on West coast be north of Beara but nowhere else (which fits in with other posts here)

this could be it .... 2 macks got tonight in dunmore waterford 1 norm size and 1 monster mack 2lb no prob havin hassle wit pics no time or patience wil get them up soon 1 on feathers and 1 on a small silver n blue spinner low tide as well

i was in dunmore on sat and 2 men had 3 tesco bags full from a boat half way across so its looking good

Gillaroo, I was told to fish for them in Mornington at least 2 hours on the rise? Not sure if that helps though

I've never heard it this bad in all my years of fishing and being interested in fishing. the industrial ships and the EEC must do something as what there are doing is morally wrong and down to human greed, not human consumption or animal feed etc :evil:

Haven't heard of any joy in westport off the shore,or the boat
