I dont even like fishing beaches but i might just come up for the craic and bring a rod along , possibly scrap up a few fish for the northern crew .
I think the gauntlet is well and truly thrown down but it looks like theres going to be an invasion of ejits from the south so we need some more support in the north
If someone shows you a mark to fish, respect it and dont pass it of as one of your own, dont tell every man and his dog about it.

Remember lads, if you ask the Southerners how many they've caught and they say 'Tree' they haven't caught a Oak or indeed a Birch :D

Reminds me of a story I was told by an English angling journalist.... On his first visit to the Corrib he was being shown around by a local fisheries officer. On asking whether there were any perch in the lake, he was told "Oh yes, we have great perch stocks, loads of them around the tree".

Baffled would probably describe his reaction. "The tree?" he asked. "Yes, around the tree" he was told again.

Eventually, after a long confused silence, wondering whether he had heard right, he asked "But where IS this tree then?"

"No, no," yer man replies, wondering what kind of an idiot he's got here "they're around the tree pound mark!"
Its called fishing, not catching. If it was called catching it wouldn't be fishing!
