Went to greenore last nite (thurs 27th), although i didn't get any myself, :( i seen 30+ being landed in the half hour that i was there all at high tide. What i noticed most was that they were mostly being caught on pink shrimp like feathers. :o Lads there said that there was a lot about wed nite. Wish i could have stayed longer but i wanted to see the footie...

Went to Skerries this morning @ 8:00am. Couldn't get a spot on Harbour and you know why! Is there anywhere in Dublin with a Harbour that is not a Mackeral bashing frenzy with rods and reels that would catch Sharks!?

there was a good run of macks into howth harbour on Monday night from 2 hours before high tide. Lots caught on feathers but only saw 1 taken on the float.

Pretty busy but good atmosphere :) Seals hanging around too so have to get them in quick

A tip for yiz,u can catch mackeral off skerries at night when their around in good numbers pick a tide in about 12 or 1 in the morning fish the back of the pier where the lights are they can be seen close in at the front of the pier too especially if a trawler is shining its lights on the water if it's docked at the end of the pier, best part is the bashers are tucked up in bed :D
And for something different I have seen squid their and there is loads of 1/2-1lb pollack behind the pier at night

Went to greenore sat morning at low water, caught 4 macks and then went elsewhere to try some bass fishing. After driving to my bass mark and finding it full of weed and choc coloured water, (wasted journey) i arrived back at greenore at high water and caught another 10 macks. 2 lads had 50+ between them and everyone was catching some. I should have stayed in greenore for the day and i probably would have enough macks for the winter.. Gonna give it a few afternoons this week and stock up on bait...
