Mackerel shannon estuary

Has anyone had any luck with mackerel on north kerry, limerick side of shannon estuary yet?

I got a few mackerels from Talbert pier a few years (in September) ago but nothing recently. This was funny that they were caught on small mackerel pieces which I put for dogfish/dabs.
On Clare side usually there is some mackerel in Kilrush marina.
