As discussed already i've booked colin barnes' catamaran Holly Jo
http://www.whalewatchwithcolinbarnes.com/for Friday 7th august to target specimen
cod, coalie, pollack, ling, conger etc on the wrecks
To attempt this type of fishing in deep water it needs light winds and no swell,
there's no point in trying it otherwise. Fridays forecast looks ideal at this stage,
though predictions this far ahead are not totally reliable.
Please post in this thread if you are able to come on the trip

It might be a little rolly but should be sunny at the same time. I think we can make it this time!

yiiiipppeee
At long last the weather has decided to play ball and this trip can go ahead.
The meeting time is 830am on reen pier to load up the gear. The boat is departing
at 900am sharp and will not wait for nobody!
Map is on colin's site.
It is expected there will be loads of
fresh mackerel about for bait. It is hoped to target specimen cod.
Wed Aug 05, 2009 10:51 am
the cost of the boat to the 40 mile out cod wrecks is 550 for the day. The skipper advises
orange shads 4 or 5 inch fished on about a six foot trace work best
