Report:
Headed out for a few hours last week. Arrived at slip about 10 and was in the water and gone for 10.30. Still tryin to get macks for the freezer but not a lot happenin. Tried a few drifts at poolbeg. After 30 min or so and no fish decided to head for dun laoighre. Took about 15 mins to get over. Went on the drift. Whitin a few min started to get macks :D . done an hour or so here and headed to dalkey. Got more macks here and a few whitenin. Seen some lads on the rented boats catch a good size sea trout on feathers  Never seen this before. Fair play to the lads they were over the moon. Tipp John had a small fish on feathers looked like a mullet. Put up a photo. Can someone confirm what this fish is. We were getting a few fish here and there. It wasnt great. decided to head back accross the by and try for a bass. Whitin ten min or so we started gettin bites. :D .Landed abround 10 or so bass and lost a few. Biggest around 2 to 3 pound. Great craic on the light rods. Headed back in around 6. Was a good day out. Still havnt filled the freezer with mack for the winter. Runnin out of time quick. Hope to get another shot in the next few weeks

my mate lives close by, do you have to be a member to launch it from there?

No. It's a public slip. I find it best to get there early and get boat in the water before anyone shows up and before club opens. Ye hav to park trailor up the road a bit. Not a bad slip
