Postby robbiemag » Mon Sep 10, 2012 3:45 pm

People:Meself and Bommer

Duration:5 Hours

Tide:Ride

Weather:Mild in the bay. Rough out past light house

Bait: Shallow feed Plugs and feathers

Rigs:

Results: 7 Bass, 4 Pollock and 1 mack

Report:

Looked at the weather on Friday and with a light southerly wind decided to take the boat out for a few hours on Saturday. Was on the slip for 10.00 and on way out to light house for 10.30. We were planning on mackeral bashing as the freezer is now empty. Decided to try a bit of plugging to see if there was any bass about. Couldnt believe our luck. Within half an hour we had seven bass caught. :D Great crack on light spinning rod. Headed out to light house for the mackeral and it was blowing a gale. The forecast from the day before had changed. Got one mackeral a and 4 pollock. We were getting thrown all over the place so decided to call it a day and head back in. Tried another hour back in shore for bass but no more bites. Didnt get the mackeral for the freezer but was happy to settle with catchin a few bass

Good days fishing. Was there any size to those bass? How many did you keep for the pot?
List 2010. fish

List 2011: less fish

2012: less fish again,

2013: even less fish.
