Results(b) During the 2011 season we managed to fish just 5 of 8 boat competitions because of poor weather and strong winds. This year we decided to choose Cork as a venue as it is almost always fishable except in really stormy conditions. It was a good decision.
Fishing on both days was poor but this was expected with the masses of fresh water and winds that have been around most of the summer. Nonetheless there was at least 10 species caught on our boat and maybe more as I am just working from memory.
Cod were scarce and Pollock not much better. Conger were plentiful on the Sat but not the Sunday.
Overall the skippers worked very hard and tried their best and no doubt we will be back.
