Report:I decided to take advantage of the weather again and this time they were right

, i launched at about 11.15 to near perfect conditions flat calm hopes were high. strange looking back at the mountains with snow caps on,i had to remind myself that it was still only january, and here we are going out in the boat in summertime like conditions
first stop was to try for dogs, i gave it about an hour not a sign of one or anything else

then we decided we had to catch something so we went on a whiting hunt

we were not dissapointed they were throwing them selvs into the boat, after about 60+ best about 30cm we soon got fed up.
next move turned up more whiting and a few small Dabs

a move to a rough patch it started to put us onto a few poorcod and also a few codling nothing much better than about a pound, at least we were getting something.
time was starting to slip away so i decided to try the mark i got a nice codling on last time out, anchored up put first rod down 6lb class uglystick abu 6500 with braid, baiting second rod when my first one arches over to a decent bite, nice little scrap and about 80 feet of water later a nice little codling comes to the surface just about lip hooked, i called for my net man to get his act together, and he was on the ball

nice codling just a bit under 3lb to finish the day

another great day out, can't wait for the next
