Results:whiting pollock launce and the elusive mackral

Report:having been land bound for all of may [like most boaters].just had to get out.and what a day to get out wind at 1 kt and sun beating down howth was like a mirror flat calm. we headed out to the back of the island and first drop bang 2 nice pollock each about 1lb. then the lads hit a few whiting 4 and 5 at a time could have filled the boat with them.we then switched to the bailey side and started drifting hit the first macks of the season.two biggies and a small joey the whiting were still making an appearence every cast .just went with the flow for a few hours drifting up and down hitting the odd mackrel .finished with 8 in total not brilliant but a good start to the season .we went back to the island and we got a few more pollock all keepers 15 in total a good result for a day out in howth. roll on tuesday .i have to work this weekend but will make up for time lost during the week :lol:
