Took your advice and went down on Saturday night to get some mackerel. There were plenty about but due to the wind, only the two or three fishing at the corner were really getting regularly in amonst them. Got enough though.

Also got a Pollock of about a pound and a half, but a young boy beside me landed on of about three and a half pounds. I added to the species with a small Pouting (very unusual from the shore in my experience) and sacrificing two ragworm from Sundays trip I got a couple of small, no very small flats.

At the height of the tide Ballan Wrasse could be seen right under the end of the pier as well.
