Had a short session tonight, was hoping for a Bass, arrived at the beach and there was a decent surf running, first cast and got a good big definitive bite, fish on and was chuffed to land a half decent smoothie. Unfortunately that was it for the evening, failed to hook up on 2 other bites, one of which was massive, rod bounced in the stand. Anyways was delighted to get my first smooth hound of the year

I'm pretty sure I was at the same place this evening as well further down from you lads, got 2 bass and a flounder
