High Water: 12:15
Equipment: 15ft Shakespeare Agility Surf Rod - 3/0 circle hook on a pulley rig with beads/attractors & 5oz grip lead. & 11ft bass rod - 3/0 Aberdeen hook on a pulley rig & 4oz grip lead. Bite detection bells.
Bait: Ragworm & Peeler Crab.
Conditions: Mixed weather, sun and rain, good surf and strong offshore wind.
Result: Blank

4.5 hour session, lots of sea weed, but no fish..

You would think there would been a few bass knocking about after that bit of sth east wind.
Fair play for getting out.
Some lads swear by plain snoods when fishing for bass, no beads of attractors.

Yeah I was hoping there might be a bass about, the water was very warm too at 14 degrees, but as is expected some days are good and some not so good, this is fishing :lol:

Myself and my uncle are getting his boat ready this week for a comp on Sunday so should have a good report to post in boat section next weekend! :D

I looked down as far as Cahore yesterday and a lot of sandy water up to 4 or 5 hundred yards out so it needs to settle again. I tried Cahore from 6am till 1pm (high 1030) not a bite. Nothing spinning either.
