Annareilly south 27/1/19

Postby roger de dodger » Mon Jan 28, 2019 9:18 pm

Sunday afternoon
Hw about 4.30 fished 3.30 till 7
Rigs pulley dropper
Two up one down
Bait rag ,bluey, crab, razor and whiting
Result whitings about 30 and 2 dogs
With a cold west north west wind I decided to go somewhere sheltered from the wind chill
Was busy from the off was hoping for a codling or two but didn't manage even a small one
Still some of the whiting where big enough for filleting so I won't starve this week
Whiting strips on size 8 hooks just hooked once worked well whiting skin must be the toughest thing on the planet

Nice busy session despite the absence of codling. Size 8 hooks? The camouflage on the dogfish is brilliant, I can only see one of them!
