Took a spin out to Howth on Wednesday 6th with my little fella, fished about 3 hrs up to high water, spinning at Balscaddden low rocks........ nothing at all, about 6 other anglers and not a sausage.
Took another spin out and fished about 3hrs up to high water again but from the elbow of East pier.......... 2 cracking Pollock each 2.5lb+ about 1hr before high water, other than that not a sausage again.

I have been going out since mid may every weekend and we are getting roughly between 10 and 20 for 2.5 hours fishing in Clare. Still very sporadic... there are more Dolphins than Mackerel... we can see more than 20 dolphins around.

Caught one last weekend a wee bit South of Dun Laoghaire. Saw another lad catch one too...this was over a couple of hours. What surprised me was the size, very big for this time of year.

Went to Dunlicky / The castle Co Clare yesterday and on the way to the cliff spoke to 2 people walking away... They said they fished hard for over 2 hours and had nothing to show for it,

Undeterred I soldiered on But after 30 minutes of lead slinging while being entertained by a Seal showing off his fat belly and watching 4 others catch nothing I slung my leg over the new Harley :-) and had a very pleasant ride up the coast to chat with mates along the way.... Even the boats out of Kilkee and Quilty are only picking up the odd few here and there,

Great day to be out an about, Pity about the slow fishing But the bike is running great.
