Report:Having been very lucky earlier in the week, Myself and mate had another go for a Tope. Weather perfect, not much run though. Once again we had no fish bait. First few cast produced few nice Doggies. When pin Whiting arrived on scene, I thought I might send one or two back in on a pulley just on the offchance there may be a Tope about. Well the rod sat untouched for about half an hour. I had just cast out a flapper on other rod and was making my way back to the rod rest when it toppled over. I was sure I had 'clipped it somehow as I was casting. As bud was heading over to right it...... the rachet started racing, line tearing of the reel, which was now in the sand

. He grabbed the second rod from me and I got hold of fallen one. Line strippin' off like a good thing ha ha could not belive I was into my second Tope in less than a week. Twang! Big head shake and it was all over!

Ah well I thought I'd stick on another pin ' if I got one and carry one fishing with second rod. Eventually pins came back so I sent one out, then another , then another...nothing. High tide was 3.00am ( we'd decided to pack up then ) Then as luck would have it...rod bucked, reel roared, and after 15mins or so, I landed this beauty

Wire trace and size 6 hook kept him connected. And by god he fought it all the way

By the time I had him unhooked got a shot of him and sent him on his way I was well and truley knackered! 2 Tope in 1 week...............Chuffed!
