Results:3 specimengolden grey mullet
Report:headed out after digging rag at ten first cast yielded a 1.6 lb golden grey

,second cast a 1.75 lb took half an a hour for hattrick another 1.6 lb.gave the rod to mate then he got bust up by good fish well over 2 lb.also got turbot and flounder on float rig .

i have never eaten, but i hear their good, so once photos approved intend to eat them.

Well done. Lovely fish.
As for eating they are a bit bland on their own but not bad if you add salt and plenty of lemon juice while frying. Nothing to write home about but ok.

I cooked a mullet I caught in Balbriggan when I was a young lad ,it stank the place out and even the dog wouldn't touch it

lovely bit of fishing there - did you get target the mullet them selves, were they from the beach/shore and wht baits method were you using ?im a big mullet fan and was wondering is it the same type of fishing tactics used for them

great fishing mate hope they taest good if there anything like the tick lipped they will be nice but only if caught from the open sea harbour and river mullet tend to take on a muddy not to pleasent taste they also stink the house out

didnt eat them yet yes from open sea they came so no fear there

yes i targetted the mullet was using size 10 hook behind small bubble float with a small blade using maddies and rag tail as bait.they were from the shore of a beach

and wasnt using bread so i guess same tactics would not do if your talking about greys
