sunday
was at beach for 1.30 tide turnin to fill at 2 so bang on time ! forgot flask :( an it was cold sleety rainy blowing from everywhere crappy weather .massive run in it ,went till cast at one stage an 80steps later was back at tripod . slow day .. the 1st beach i fished i gave it 2hrs for 1x 25cm flounder and conditions got dodgy so time to get goin ,300yards away was another beach facin the other direction . a safer option , had 2 fish of this for 2hrs 25cm and 32cm flounder .

You did well to get a few fish in those conditions, must be handy having 2 beaches so close yet facing opposite directions, you can almost always get some shelter. Did the fish show any preference for lug or mackerel?

its a very handy place to be near on is a surf beach and the other is so quiet both arent 200mtrs long . the frozen lug is the one i had most fish on mr west , i started using it about a month ago and have won longest flatie twice and once overall at night comps. but i still am a great beliver in macks the oily ones from up north that are landed this time of year .

Sounds like a spot near killybegs I fished one night! Didn't see it in daylight but it was very fishy looking even in the moon light! 8) great to have two marks so close together!
