Sat Nov 12, 2005 12:53 am

People:Boogaloo and myself

Duration:7pm to 11pm

Tide:High tide 7pm

Weather:Swirling winds, dry

Bait:Lugworm, Mackerel, Squid, old Ragworm

Rigs:2 hook flappers, single hook paternosters

Results:Dogfish, Whiting, Codling

Report:This was the only venue that offered some shelter from the full force of the wind although it still managed to play it's part.

Average night, wind made bite detection difficult with the smaller fish, no problems seeing the dogfish bites though!Range did not seem to make any difference to the size or species of fish.

Andy brought along some bait that had been left over from a previous trip that he has salted down before refreezing. Seems to work so should cut down on the winter bait wastage :D

Fishing started off good but bites definitely slowed as the ebb gathered pace. Not sure if I would fish here again on a dropping tide.
