People:Me
Duration:5.5 hrs
Tide:3hrs up to highwater and 2.5 hrs down
Weather:Wet and windy, with a small swell running.
Bait:Remains of yesterday's lug and freshfrozen sandeels.
Rigs:Single hook paternoster in the rough and 3 hook flapper/ wishbone rigs at distance over sand.
Results: 5 small ballan wrasse up to 2lb/36cm
1 corkwing wrasse
4 pollack up to 29 cm
3 small pouting
Report:
Due to a disappointing day yesterday, I had plenty of lug left so having given my back a good workout digging the stuff, I thought I might as well get some use out of it. Distance over sand produced only 1 bite resulting in a small pouting, 1 more than yesterday. The rest were all in close in the rough. Most fish were on lug with 2 pollack and 1 pouting on sandeel strip. No pics today as it was very wet; no point risking the camera for a few John West Sardines!

maybe not huge fish over the 2 days but you clocked up a few species and the corkwing is always a fine fish to catch in my opinion!si nice one and unlucky
