Report:Fished Keem beach on the Sunday evening. Weather was lovely, warm and flat calm. Not a sausage! Fished both sides and middle. Not even any birds about. Absolutly living with midges!!!!!
One moment of light relief though. Cormorant comes flying into bay, skimming the sea, flies straight into my line (fluro red!), does multible cartwheels worthy of an olympic gold medal, and sinks, Comes to the surface and shakes its head as if to say "what the f**k was that!!!" and flies off.  (You had to be there.).
Got talking to some locals and they recommended Dooaghart, so went there next morning and set up on the beach. Nothing. Local comes up and says fish the pier, so ups sticks and moves round to pier.
Nice and rocky so set up a float rod with 8ft dropper and 1 up 1 down rig on the beachcaster. Wrasse heaven!!!!!!!! Fish a chuck. Wrasse from 3 inchs to 3 pounds with the odd small Pollock. Was neglecting the other rod and missing bite after bite, but still managed to land a nice Thornie (pic in album.

All in all a brilliant spot. Pity about Keem though as its probably the most scenic beach in Ireland.
