Weather:heavy showers,windy

Bait:mackerel,sandeel,squid,lug,feathers

Rigs:2 hook flapper,feathers

Results:1 dogfish




Report:I headed to little kilary first and had a few casts for mackerel,hooked 1 fish but lost it on the way in,I think it was a small pollack
when it got dark I headed for a spot on the big kilary,I didn't get too many bites,after I landed 1 dogfish and decided to call it a night as the rain started to get heavy

the doggies are great for saving the blank,and he put up a great fight,I don't miss miss the ray :roll: I am sick of them,they are worse then pin whiting around here :roll: :lol: :lol:

Blank saved all the same Gerry and you were out and about - how Bad, and well done.

Had thornies over 6lbs off Cliften in early Jan this year so they will be around soon, if they ever leave :roll:

I never had a thornie that early in the year around clifden,this year I only tried my thornie mark for the first time around June,I must try it early next year
