The gilthead is not listed on the specimen list. Some fish have been submitted to the ISFC but as yet no specimen weight/record has been declared (I think these were caught on the east coast). The belief would be that the species is not caught regularly enough. Send a couple of bodies to the ISFC. I have no doubt that the species will be put on the list. There was a gilthead of approx. 2lb caught this week in Cork Harbour. I had one myself a while back at 2.35lb. The Uk recond is over 9lb.

hi Arthur

is that east or west of dungarven?
the map i have doesn't list beaches by name.

is that a home number or mobile. i'll probably call to meet up if that's ok.

i from Ayr in south west scotland. no bream from the shore up here but a few from the boat.
we get a few small bass up to 7lbs and a few hounds. sounds like a top spot you have there.

mostly a boat angler but love shore stuff as well.

hey poacher

well done on all those great catches. that connigar place sounds to good to be true.

would you like to meet up for a bit of fishing either tomo or over the weekend. i stay down in wexford on the weekends but the drive is'nt that long to dungarvan.

i'm also trying to get in touch with arthur (i think you guys already know each other) anyway get back to me when u get a chance.

i might try dig bait, but if i don't can you buy it down there, and is it cheaper then in dublin.
