Weather Calm, dry , mild
Rigs flappers , pulley , wire boom
result ; loads of doggies for Paddy Me 4 dogs and a 3 beard rockling
myself and Paddy headed down to Cleggan to see what might or might not be biting in Cleggan .
When we arrived we were greeted by lovely sparkling blue water and a clearly visible shoal of small pollack or coalies , we never rightly found out because despite our best attempts they weren't biting, Paddy even put out a float rig .This didn't bother us because we've seen enough of them now at this stage .
We were quickly into the bites though and Paddy spent the rest of the night removing doggie after doggie from his hooks ( we lost count of them but it must have been around the 20 mark ) I could only manage 4 doggies myself and a 3 bearded rockling . To quote Paddy from another occasion upon the capture of his first rockling " It's like a tiger but with leopard spots "
