Report:
Saturday 8th Aug: Picked up Vinny and headed for Clare to try for Bass on lures. Conditions looked perfect Westerly wind and an incoming tide. We covered about a mile of coastline from rocks to beach to more rocks and another beach we tried everything in the bag but nothing was doing

vinny managed to pull one out landing small Pollack nothing for me....
Sunday 9th Aug: Met baitdigger who was at a mark fishing for mullet he had plenty showing but none taking

We headed off together in the one car (to avoid be followed) for another mark to try for Bass on lures. Arrived at the mark and made the 45 minute hike to the fishing grounds... as soon as we started to fish baitdigger spotted a sea trout jumping about 150yrds out looked a fine fish. We were fishing about an hour or so when we were joined by nthclare and corbyeire... we fished it hard through torrential driving rain and strong winds with nothing happening... just as the light was going and with the tide ebbing I made my way for a channel with some fast water flowing through it to see if any Bass might be lurking had about 3 casts then bang got nailed on the retrieve Bass on

after a bit of trashing on the surface i waded backwards to beach him... had no scales but i'd put him between 4lb / 4.5lb quick photo and then held him in the water for a min to recover and off he went... we all fished the channel for another 15mins but the light was almost gone and with the tide rapidly retreating and the rain and wind getting even worse (if that was possible) we made the 45 minute trek back to the cars... we stopped off at a nearby pub to warm up and talk about fishing
