Fished the back of Portrush harbour from 6pm to 10 pm last night, with high water approx 10.30pm.
Fished 2 rods, one for conger & one for whiting and small stuff.
Got some small whiting, and then the fun started, the rig i put out for the small stuff, was a single hook paternoster, with 20lb snood, and 2/0 Aberdeen, baited with a slither of squid.
A conger picked up this rig, and after a good fight was eventually landed, and luckily it was hooked in the lip otherwise it would have bitten me off. It weighed a decent 13.4 lbs.
