Dollymount

Fished Dollymount this morning for 7am to 12pm with m.b3. Small surf running on a rising tide. 3 hook flappers baited with rag. 3 flounder caught, 2 about 0.5lb and the biggest weighed in at 1.25lb - guess what's for supper tonight!! FWIW all 3 were caught on 12", 15lb flourocarbon snoods laced with small beads and with size 1/0 and 2/0 hooks. The big fella actually took 2 hooks on different snoods into his mouth!

Ian with his biggest flounder to date..

very curtious of you not to tell all i blanked Ian! just to add to the pain my rod and reel got blown over into the sea. had to strip reel and re-iol the bearings.

tried using flouro yellow snoods as an experiment. water was extremely clear dispite the strong winds. i caught nothing. maybe i was just unlucky? or was the snood colour a turn off for the flatties? after much thought i am beginning to believe the latter. the fish were there and feeding, Ian's fish took 2 hooks on his rig. it's rare i blank here and it was the first time i tried yellow snoods here too. who knows?
