fished Ballintoy for pollack on sat evening caught a few around the pound half mark ,couple of doggies on the conger gear nothing spectular .
decided to try larrybane at last light see if any bigger fish about ,second cast hit good fish at distance had severe problems getting it in as it kept diving into thick kelp after a bit of persuasion managed to get it to the net ,turned out to be a pollack of 6.5 lb couple of quick photos then back it went , by this stage it was pretty dark so fished on for another half hour caught a coalie 1.5lb and a couple of missed fish ,going back again this weekend with carp rod and heavier line ,think theres a good chance of bigger fish .
