I was fishing there on the Friday night (22nd April) and packed up around midnight. Hmm maybe I'm not so sure as I'm pretty certain whatever the source of the red light was, was moving from right to left and it did seem very close, could have been my eyes playing tricks on me who knows

Same thing happened me on Ballycroneen one night.... thought a ship was goon come steaming up infront of me ;)
Turned out to be the buoy allright :)

Btw, Oli what was the weight of the bass in the photo...it looks a cracker!

well that was around 8-9 in da morning,so i can see propely,those lads try to come as posible as they can to shore,was dificult to do that for then course was wind from the side,the ship was something like this one:
