when a rod is rung for a multiplier can you use fixed spool as well??

Unless you are aiming for optimum performance and trying to hit the horizon, the short answer is yes, absolutely. You will lose a small bit of distance but unless you are a 150 yard plus man, not enough to matter. HTH.

technically its not recommended but as petekd said above unless your going to be casting large distances it shouldnt really matter
im gathering from the other thread that you are starting out, my personal opinion would be that a fixed spool reel would be fine and would give you other options if you plan not just to go beach casting but spining or floating off the rocks
