Hi everybody,
I am thinking of loading one of my fs reels with spiderwire but am unsure what type of knot to use to connect them I am going to use 25lb red ice as a backing line and greased weasel as a shockleader it will only be for short lobs 30 to 50 meters or so. I am a great believer in safety as I would not like to injure myself or anyone else for that matter so any suggestion will be gratefully received.
All the best Sandstorm.

i just use a normal shock to mainline knot but add another extra knot on the braid to help it stop slipping, then add a dollop of knot glue., to tell the trutyh its been so long since i tied the knot on that spool i cant really remember which one i used!!!!!

Last months sea angler has an article showing a useful knot for this. I may still have it if you need a copy.
