i know that im not the 1st to come up with this idea but ill share it anyway.
in the absence of any good highly reflective tape i got the reflective strips off an old high vis safety jacket. cut these into 7mm wide strips and wrapped them around my rod tips. there brilliant for night fishing, adding great visability to the tips. when shone at with a head torch

You can also buy the reflective tape in Halfords. It makes a cracking reflective tip. It's the stuff they make number plates out of. You can get it in both white and yellow and as a plus. It's very reasonable and lasts for ever 8)

heard of that stuff alrite. think its called scotch 3m safety tape. could never get it anywhere though, so had to rely on the hi-vis jacket stuff. as they say necessity is the mother of all invention.

Lumpy, The Angling and Outdoor Centre at the magic roundabout next to where woodies used to be has packs of sticky backed reflective tape, for a euro or two. Made a decent enough job on the rod I wrapped, glows up damn well too with just an LED headlamp.

They sell the 3m scotch tape in veals, if your buying something its worth getting it thrown in if you cant get it elsewhere.
