Confidence crisis!

Hi Folks,

I'm having a bit of a crisis at the moment, I cant seem to catch a fish to save my life! I have been shore angling for about a year now and my last 4 or five outings have resulted in blanks! I have no idea why, I haven't changed what I'm doing and where I'm doing it. Up until the last 4 or 5 trips I don't think I had more than one blank from the spots I have been fishing, same baits, same tide times, same moon phases, same distance of cast.

I really need to catch a fish again soon before i lose the plot! Can any of the more experienced anglers out there give me some advice or even just some encouragement?

If it helps I generally fish from brittas bay beach using mack tipped rag or lug. I have tried other baits in the past but these seem to (used to) bring us the best results.

Thanks in advance!

I remember fishing every day for a whole week once. Didn't get a pick for six days and on day seven I got a gorgeous 7lb bass......so keep the faith, you just never know!

don't worry about it till you get blanks up to double figures
what i normally do is hit a pier for a bit of doggie bashing to break the dready curse

I'm just back form my 2nd blank in a row. I'm not in the slightest bit worried I have gone well over two balnks running before. Just keep the faith you'll get good fish soon, the longer it goes on the closer you are to the next fish, could be a top bass:)

LOCATION CRISIS :!: i wont be on brittas north south or middle till march or april now,you will be lucky to get a few tiny flounder, water that is shallow gets cold quicker and bass dont like very cold water!you will need a big surf just to get an average catch, move your efforts to annyreily its a steeper beach and should produce better fish, with a chance of good codling from now till march flounder and our beloved whiting :D lug is now outfishing rag in my opinion and if your after codling use big baits to get a good scent trail, crab will work but lug is cheaper, bulk out your lug with some squid or razor
