What about tonight? Moonrise, sunset, full moon, and lunar eclipse all within one hour. Surely, tonight will be the night of all nights?

is bait fishing any good at low tide down by the osyter cages, or is the plugging better, also is the osyter sheds safe way back after the tide starts flooding or is cunnigar carpark a better option, pass nearly everyday so mad to get in a session there

pat

, everything looked good for yesterday eve. opted to fish over a shipwreck thats partly exposed at l.w. on the bigger tides, its 2 miles of a walk so i stole a boat to get there

beached the boat 300m away and waded out was just able to reach it, water was near top of b.waders 3th. cast everything went solid then line started to peel of reel, began wadeing back toards shore got about half way when the line fell slack..............the effin knot had opened...gone with the best lure i ever had...........i felt like crying..then i thought "tis better to have hooked and lost than never hooked at all"......................i,ll be back there tis eve. hes not gettin away that easy..iam still depressed

Unlucky Art. Its terrible when you lose a favourite lure...its almost like a bereavement. Was out myself yesterday and managed to land a fish of 76cm. I thought he'd nudge specimen but when I weighed him would you believe he was only 8.75lbs

. He wasn't as deep bodied as normal fish that size and had sea lice, so he may have been sick

Hi Art,
Just read through this thread again still not sure I fully understand, but anyway I'm planning to fish in Waterford on Saturday, weather seems to be favourable for what I want! Southerlies and big surf! I'm after a Big Bass, I believe conditions will/should be good, what's the moon phase like for Saturday in big fish terms? LW approx 7.30pm
Best Regards,
