When: 16/09/2020
Where: Launching from Rush, Co. Dublin
Who: Myself and my uncle Ken.
Duration: 09:00-16:00
High Water: 11:09
Equipment: 7.5ft Shakespeare Ugly Stik 2 30/50lb & another generic 30lb boat rod
Bait/Rig: Mostly feathers/baited sabikis.
Conditions: 0.2m swell and sunny
My Result: 5 Whiting, 2 Coalfish, 5 Pollock, 4 Mackerel and a seal
Kens Result: 2 Whiting, 4 Pollock, 2 Mackerel.

We started off by heading straight to the Rockabill lighthouse, feathering while drifting over the reefs all around the Island, the only fish we managed to catch here were whiting when we drifted out over clean sand. Before leaving I decided to stick a live whiting on a large 3 hook 6/0 cod sabiki rig and drop it down, Ken said that there was a seal swimming about 200m away and he'll probably try to steal my bait, and he did, he swam down took my bait and trace and started swimming off into the horizon taking 200m of mono with him and I was left with an empty spool

After this we said feck it lets go back to fishing around Lambay and we ended up catching a few pollock, coalfish and surprisingly very few mackerel.

Video coming soon!
