Iridescent effect on lures

Postby Buddner » Tue Oct 14, 2014 8:09 pm

Gents, I'm looking to make some lures for bass fishing. What I need to know is how to get the iridescent effect on the lure surface. Is it a clear lacquer with glitter or is there more to it. :?:

I made a fee using holographic tape then dipped in clear varnish twice ( dry after each dip )
Try some strips of different colour tape also
They work

I just googled ' holographic tape' and it seems to be the way to go alright. I was looking for iridescent paint but the tape and a few cotes of lacquer looks good , thanks for the tip :D have you a link to where I can buy it?

Got some , ..................not as easy as it looks so I'm still experimenting, I might have to invest in an air brush and compressor.

Don't go crazy with tape or colours.

Match stick thin strips etc.
