Interesting looking reel. The only downside with it as far as I'd be concerned is that it doesn't come with a spare spool. I like to have 2 spools, one loaded with 10lbs braid for clean/sandy estuary sea trouting and the other with 20 lbs braid for kelpy bassing.
Other than that, I'd buy it. It's an Okuma, for years now I've rated those reels as good quality for good value money.
As regards this particular model, since I've never used it I can't really say buy it or not.

I'm no expert but here's my 2 cents:
I recently spent similar money on the standard trio version. It was my first "fancy" reel. It looked great out of the box but I wasn't impressed after using it a few times. There was terrible play in the handle from the start and water ingress seems to be a problem with the design. I've never experienced either of these issues with much cheaper reels I normally use. I've had to strip the reel completey twice now to drain water out. I've read same complaints to my own online, so mine is not an isolated case. Lots of good reports too of course.
I since purchased a shimano exage for about the same price and am far more impressed with it. works like a charm.
All in, I won't be purchasing another Okuma.
I've noticed in photos that baitdigger has the same model.......maybe ask what he thinks.

I personally do not have any experiences neither good nor bad with the Okuma Trio reels, they certainly look tempting. As it has been mentioned already, baitdigger (
http://baitdigger.wordpress.com/) has used his with great success and seemed to be very happy with the performance.
Speaking for myself I can highly recommend the Surecatch Unity UTF 45, even it's smaller brother, the size 30 reel has given JimC here on the forum years of good service:
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=33488I own 2 of the 45's and have never encountered anything negative. Unfortunately they are not easy to find but it's definitely worth your while to browse around for a top quality no nonsense reel.

I think I first got mine in May and to be fair it has taken more use than most people reels would in a couple of seasons.
Because I got mine as part of a rod deal it only cost me £40 and as spinning reels go it is fairly cheap.
I have been very happy with my reel and it has performed well but as a word of caution for all tackle tarts I made a particular effort the wash both rod and reel after every session (a practice which i believe led to the rod snapping). After each cleaning I would spray the reel and handle components with wd40. On one session the handle was becoming quite stiff on the upper part of the sweep and a little bit grindy, not bad but not as smooth as it once was. I think this was due to washing the grease, lubricant out of the main body. Although I would not recommend it to others I put a few drops of gear oil for the axle of my landrover in it and it is good as new.
I had very little trouble with line twist or wind knots. The body and spool are very robust and do not mark or scratch easily. There is slight wear on the handle and it isnt as tight as when I first used it.
As I said it isnt an expensive reel and if you want the function, smoothness and long life of say a shimano rarium you will have to spend considerably more money.
I have read negative reports about them seizing up after very little use but this isnt my own experience of the reel. There are a few other lads further down the country using the same reel for similar types of fishing and I have heard nothing bad from them.
Going on my own experience I would not hesitate to reccomend the reel to anyone, however the shimanos are an excellent reel also.
