a couple of days in west cork

Postby garymaxima » Fri Jun 21, 2013 5:02 pm

fished for a couple of days in west cork. the fishing was a little on the disappointing side with a slow couple of days. fish didn't seem to be hitting the lures with the frequency or ferocity that they were roughly the same time last year. probably due to the sea still being a little cold on account of the prolonged winter/spring? a handful of pollack and a good few mackerel was all that was landed but two ballan wrasse were lost at the side of the boat, one a very decent one indeed. still, despite the slow fishing it was nice to hit fish on the lures and a these couple of pollack were the highlight of the trip....

Jeeze nice fish. We were hitting Pollock around the 6lb mark between Portmuck.and Gobbins and we thought they were big. Yours look a lot bigger!
