biggest ray in the bay clifden bay co galway
Sunday 15 September 2013 fishing from 12:00 to 17:00
register at boat club on the beach road from 11:00
€5 entry

rules
1 no fishing west of the white lady and all fish caught from the shore
2 one rod only
3 rays to be measured from wing tip to wing tip using the tape provided at registration ONLY
4 Rays to be photographed clearly using your mobile or camera on top of provided tape
5 photo and measure all ray caught
6 all competitors enter at own risk
7 if there is a tie on the biggest fish it will be decided on next biggest fish and so on
8 no late entry's will be accepted all entry's to be returned to the boat club by 18:00
9 all judges decision are final
prizes for first,second and third places

fishing on the day was very hard,there was a force 7 gale blowing straight in the bay from the west and plenty of heavy showers

plenty of fish were caught on the day and no one blanked
well done to all the anglers that took part

i have been contacted this week by a local business man who has offered 1000 euro first prize for next years Competition if we can get enough people interested and base the Competition from his business
