The rules are very loosely based on the National Fish Offs back in Nov. Main line, rig body, & snoods to be of 15lb or under. No more than three hooks. No restriction on bait. No casting from boat, but under hand swings beneath the gunwhale allowed. Lines down at 9:30am and lines up at 2:30pm. The boat will leave the pier at 9am. Check in will be from the hut at the entrance to Kennedy Pier (Pier Head) from 8:45am. Draw for positions will be done on the boat.

Each boat (if more than one) will be considered a zone. The winner on board will be considered as having a score of 100%. All others will be calculated as a % off this. The winner between the two boats will be the person with the most score, the 2cnd place will be the other 100%er.

Main target species will be codling, whiting, dabs, lsd, pouting & poor cod. Rigs normally are a combo of 3 hk pats, 2ups 1 down, 1 up 2 downs, or variations of legers upto 3 hks. Crab accounted for most of codling, whereas the whiting fell mainly to mack.

At €40 for boat/comp entry its great value !

A great day was had by all....great weather, and great fishing. There were over 800 fish caught!!!.

Steven O' Neill won again....that's his third win on the trot 8) . Just shows you what a good angler he is and why he deserves his place on the panel for the National Boat Angling Team fish offs.

I'll stick up a full report later when I get a chance.
